Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said that the need of the hour is to prepare minimum standards for the education system which can ensure that every child gets quality education.

“When every child will get quality education, only then we will be able to make India a developed country. Since independence, India has developed a number of excellent models to provide excellent quality education to a certain number of students. However, so far no steps have been taken to ensure that all children get a better education. Hence, the need of the hour is to create minimum standards for the education system, which can ensure that every child gets quality education,” Sisodia said while inaugurating a multipurpose block and an auditorium at Ambedkar University, Karmapura campus.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that it is important to ensure the quality of education, as well as to make it available to all. “Therefore, it is imperative to set minimum standards for our education system. Today every child in the country does not have access to quality education. While some children receive excellent quality education, many others do not. The need of the hour is to set minimum standards to ensure that 100% children in the country get quality education.

The multi-purpose block at Ambedkar University, Karmapura campus consists of a crche, a four-room guest house as well as residential quarters. Along with this, a new auditorium hall with a seating capacity of 250 people has also been built in the campus, which will be used for seminars and other educational and cultural activities in future.
