In another fresh allegation, an RJD leader had on Monday alleged that Tej Pratap Yadav, senior party leader and elder son of Lalu Yadav, had beaten him up in a room of Rabri Devi’s residence.

Ramraj said that he is in shock since then. He has submitted his resignation from the party after party leaders refused to take cognizance of the incident.

“I was taking care of the arrangements for a pandal at the iftar party. At around three o’clock in the afternoon, Tej Pratap Yadav suddenly came along with four or five other people and asked me to go with him. They locked me in a room and started beating me. One of his associates was filming it,” the RJD leader said.

“They were kicking and punching me with shoes, and abused not only me, but Tejashwi Yadav too,” he said, adding that it went on for 20 minutes.

Ramraj also claimed that he was also making derogatory remarks about Jagdanand Singh and Lalu Yadav. He said that when he went to resign, he was crying outside the RJD office, but no one came to him. Reports also suggest that apart from Ramraj Yadav, another RJD leader was also attacked at the same Iftar party.
