Suriya’s Kangwaa will release in 10 languages.
Apart from Suriya, Kanguva also stars Disha Patani and Mrunal Thakur.
National Award winning actor Suriya is all set to star in his next feature film titled Kanguva. The makers announced the title of the film yesterday. Touted as a powerful heroic saga, the film is written and directed by filmmaker Siva. Backed by KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green in collaboration with Vamsi-Pramod of UV Creations, the film also stars disha patani and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles.
As per the recent reports, the film will reportedly hit the big screens in early 2024. Kangva revolves around Suriya and is considered to be both a period and modern film. For the uninitiated, the film’s title is taken from the 1984 release Gangwa, starring Rajinikanth in the lead, which is the Hindi remake of the blockbuster hit Malayoor Mambattiyan.
As per the recent reports, Suriya starrer Kangwaa will release in 10 languages across the world. Actors like Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Radin Kingsley and others will also be seen in pivotal roles. The film’s music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography is by Vetri Palanisamy. Shooting is being done in Goa, Chennai and many other locations, around fifty percent of the film’s production has been finalised.

Suriya had earlier won the National Award for Best Actor for the film Soorarai Pottru. The actor will soon be seen in the film Vaadisaal with filmmaker Vetrimaaran. His other upcoming releases include Irumbu Kai Mayavi, a Rolex spin-off, and an untitled film with Sudha Kongara. The actor also has two new films lined up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is considered one of the highest-grossing actors in Asia, predominantly acting in Tamil films. The actor is known for films like Sivaji, Kabali, Baasha and Enthiran. Some of his other notable films include Lingaa and Ra.One, Chandramukhi, Darbar and Krantikari. Now, he is all set to act in upcoming films including Jailor, Laal Salaam, Thalaivar 170, an untitled film and others.
