The two-day literary festival keeps the people of Kanpur engaged. Kanpur News – Times of India

The two-day Kanpur Literature Festival (KLF) proved to be a major attraction for the residents of Kanpur. Organized after a gap of one year, the festival gave the city’s litterateurs an opportunity to discover new books, participate in discussions and be part of intellectual gatherings. The main attraction of the first day was Dr. Was Sanjay GargSessions on the story of India through its coins. During the session, he told the audience how coins are a reflection of eras and society.

Actress Meghna Malik also attended the festival and recited a poem written by her mother. “I had no plans for KLF this year but the organizers insisted that I be a part of the event. Though it is a quick and unplanned trip, but I am really happy to be here.”

KLF’s audience was a bit disappointed as actor Rajendra Gupta, the actress Sushmita Mukherjee And filmmaker Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi failed to attend the festival. Rohit Tandon, the official spokesperson of the fest, said, “Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi had to return to Mumbai from the Kanpur airport as he was called for an urgent meeting. Rajendra Gupta and Sushmita Mukherjee were also stuck at work.

Classical singer Kalapini Komakali’s scintillating performance added to the charm of the lit fest. Another highlight of the festival was the music session by Dr. Bipin Kumar Mishra and Pandit Amarnath Jha where they enthralled the audience with their renditions.

We saw Aryan Tandon, Santosh Singh, Rinku Singh, Ruchi Paliwal, Dr. Jugnu Singh, Sushma Singh And Anand Veer Singh joined the celebration. During the fest, Kriti Tandon was seen getting her sketches made.
