He said that the accused kept dragging the dead body of the girl trapped in their vehicle for 18 to 20 kilometers and this went on for about one and a half hours.

“It was 3:20 in the morning…I was standing outside the shop when I heard a loud noise from a vehicle about 100 meters away. At first I thought it was a tire burst. As the car moved on, I saw a dead body. Saw being dragged. I immediately informed the police,” Dahiya told ANI.

He told that after some time around 3.30 pm the car took a U-turn and the woman’s body was still trapped under the vehicle. Dahiya said that the accused kept driving on the road for about 4-5 kilometers by repeatedly taking U-turns.

“I tried to stop them several times, but they did not stop the vehicle. For about one-and-a-half hours, they carried the girl’s body for about 20 km,” he said.

Dahiya said he also chased the car on his bike and was in touch with the police.

He told that after about one and a half hour the body fell from the car near Jyoti village on Kanjhawala road, after which the accused fled.

Dahiya insisted, “It cannot be just an accident.”

Speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer Delhi, Harendra Kumar Singh said that at the time of the incident, the girl fell off the scooty and was dragged under the car for a long distance. Police nabbed the accused on the basis of registered car number.

The DCP said, “The accused told the police that the windows of the vehicle were closed and music was playing at a loud volume, so they did not find out… When they came to know, they fled from the spot.”

A 20-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a car and then dragged for a few kilometers on the road, police said on Sunday.

Police said that after the incident, the condition of the girl had deteriorated to such an extent that her clothes and back of the body were also torn after being dragged.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal also took cognizance of the matter and issued a notice to the Delhi Police.

“A naked dead body of a girl was found in Delhi’s Kanjhawala, it is being told that in an inebriated condition, some boys dragged her scooty for several kilometers after hitting her with a car. This matter is very dangerous, I am issuing production summons.” Delhi Police. The whole truth should come out.

Speaking to ANI, he also alleged that the five people on board the vehicle were drunk.

“A very disturbing incident has come to light. A girl was hit by a car and then dragged on the road. The car was being driven by five men who were heavily intoxicated. I have called the Delhi Police asking them to How will the girl get justice?” Secondly, I want to ask that despite dragging the girl for several kilometers no check post could catch anything. No one stopped the drunk people. This is a very scary and shocking incident.
