This Indian street food restaurant opens its first drive-thru outlet in the UK

When we talk about drive-thru restaurants, KFC, McDonald’s, and Starbucks come to mind. The drive-thru concept of international restaurant brands is quite popular in India, but it seems to be going the other way in foreign lands. A popular Indian street food restaurant chain has opened a drive-thru outlet, the first of its kind in the UK. This just reiterates how Indian food is gaining popularity overseas. Indian street food is already getting immense love in our country; It is exciting to see that it is being equally appreciated in other countries, that too by people of different tastes. Though no surprise here, our street food is so delicious that one cannot escape its charm.

The restaurant that opened the drive-thru outlet is Chaiwala. The famous eatery originally started operations in Delhi in the 1920s and later opened outlets in the UK serving Indian street food and beverages. With its new drive-thru restaurant on Manchester Road in Bolton, it is sure to bring more fame to Indian cuisine.

The best thing about Chaiwala is its tempting menu. Aloo Tikki Burger, Butter Chicken Roll, Aloo Paratha, Mumbai Mac ‘n’ Paneer, Pani Puri – all our favorite desi foods are available here. Even the beverage menu is quite interesting, which includes strong tea, lemonade, hot chocolate and pink tea and other such drinks. And as we’d expect, all the items are pretty affordable.

Chaiwala already has over 70 restaurants worldwide, most of which are in the UK. The drive-thru outlet is a first ever offering from the brand.

Indian street food seems to be taking the world by storm. right now, ‘tea water’An Indian restaurant serving homegrown street food in the US has won the ‘America’s Most Outstanding Restaurant’ award at the James Beard Foundation Awards in Chicago.
