The menu had green chilli-onion, roasted red chilli-onion, tomato-onion, onion-tamarind and ginger-onion besides two types of coconut chutney. there were two types dosappodi (gunpowder) too. and then were manga uppilitthu (salted mango), a semi-gravy curry made with potatoes, chickpeas and onions – like a masala dosa filling, and a Archway (stir fry) containing chickpeas, coconut and spices.

Rasvada, Ulivada Onion fritters and omelettes are also available. “I try to come up with new recipes. On Sundays, I indulge Avial on the morning menu and it’s a big hit with families. Around 250-300 people come daily and the number goes up on weekends,” says Santosh.

The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
