Three killed after two bikes of lorry collide

A lorry laden with coal rammed two motorcycles in Ramchandrarao Banjara village of Penballi mandal on Wednesday evening, killing three people.

Sources said the lorry crushed two motorcyclists before hitting another bike after the driver lost control of the wheel on the busy highway late in the evening.

The two motorcyclists, identified as Rohit, 25, and Pula Rao, 34, of VM Banjara village, sustained serious injuries and died on the spot.

Sources said that another motorcyclist, identified as Krishna Reddy, succumbed to his injuries in the middle of the hospital as he sustained serious injuries in the accident.

His wife, who was sitting behind on the bike, suffered several injuries.

Seeing people gathering around the accident spot, the truck driver fled from the spot. VM Banjara Police has registered a case against the lorry driver and started his search.
