Three terrorists killed, four jawans injured in late night encounter in Srinagar

Three more terrorists were killed and four security personnel injured in a fresh encounter in Srinagar on Thursday night, taking the number of terrorists to nine in the last 36 hours. three separate shots in the Kashmir Valley.

“Three unidentified terrorists were killed at the encounter site in Srinagar. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered,” a police spokesperson said.

Preliminary reports suggest that the encounter took place in the interior areas of Patha Chowk area on the outskirts of Srinagar during the night.

“In the initial firing, three police personnel and a CRPF (Central Reserved Police Force) jawan were injured and later taken to a hospital,” the police said.

Presently the operation is going on in the area.

Earlier, six Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in Anantnag and Kulgam districts of South Kashmir.

At least 30 terrorists have been killed in multiple encounters in the Valley this month.
