Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar said on Saturday that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) constituents – the NCP, the Congress and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena – are yet to take on the Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA). No conversation has taken place. ) riding.

He said that the MVA constituents would fight the upcoming bypolls together.

“There was no talk about Prakash Ambedkar’s VBA before the elections. We do not know what is going on between the two parties (Shiv Sena and VBA). We will not discuss anything on this,” Mr Pawar said in Kolhapur.

NCP did not hold any talks with Mr. Ambedkar. “There is no such proposal before us.

His comments came days after the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena announced an alliance with the VBA and Mr Ambedkar alleged that the NCP chief was ‘still taking sides’ with the BJP.

Meanwhile, the BJP has reportedly said that it will seek the support of the MVA so that the bypolls to the Kasba and Chinchwad assembly seats in Pune go uncontested.

Asked about BJP’s claims of writing a letter to the MVA, the 82-year-old leader said he was not aware of it.

”I have no idea about it. I don’t know how they didn’t think of unopposed elections during Kolhapur and Pandharpur bypolls.
