Tim Cook impressed by the murals in Delhi’s Lodhi art district

New Delhi: Apple CEO Tim Cook, all set for the launch of the company’s second branded store at Select Citywalk Mall in Saket tomorrow, arrived in the national capital on Wednesday.

The Apple CEO was impressed by the murals in the Lodhi Arts District, pictures of which he shared on his Twitter handle.

“Delhi’s Lodhi arts district is a remarkable public space. Congratulations to St+Art India Foundation and so many wonderful artists for capturing Indian life so powerfully. And thank you to Dattaraj Naik for showing me how you can do it on the iPad.” How do you design murals,” Cook tweeted.

Lodhi Arts District, located in South Delhi’s Lodhi Colony, is India’s first arts district. It houses murals by 50 Indian and international artists. The mural painting initiative has been started by St+Art India Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides a platform to street artists to showcase their murals.

A large crowd is anticipated to attend Apple’s second branded location at Select CityWalk Mall. Tim Cook will officially inaugurate the flagship location in the national capital on Friday.

On Tuesday, Tim Cook officially opened Apple BKC at Jio World Drive Mall in Mumbai’s affluent Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) business, arts and entertainment hub to the cheers of at least 6,000-7,000 Apple supporters and consumers. Apple is projected to gain 6% market share in India in FY23-34, selling over 8 million iPhones in that time, as it ramps up domestic manufacturing there.
