He said the bus terminus should be named after Tiruppur Kumaran or KN Palanisamy Gounder, a former MLA, who is considered the father of Tiruppur for all his good deeds.
Aam Aadmi Party district president S Sundarapandian also said the same.
In a statement, the state president of Hindu Munnani, Kadeshwar Ku. subramaniam Said “Terminus should be named after Prime Minister” Narendra Modi Because he has the sole credit to claim for the renewal of the facility under the Smart Cities Mission Fund. DMK leaders have no right to take credit for this development. As the country celebrates 75 years of independence, we should name the terminus after Tiruppur Kumaran.
Responding to this, Tiruppur Congress city and district president R Krishnan said they would insist on renaming the new bus terminus and Kovilvazi bus terminus after former chief ministers K Kamaraj and Tiruppur Kumaran.
