TMC nominates former Goa CM Luizinho Faleiro to Rajya Sabha

Former Goa Chief Minister and All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) National Vice President Luizinho Faleiro was nominated by the party to the Rajya Sabha on Saturday. When Luizinho Faleiro joined TMC, Abhishek Banerjee had promised that TMC would give priority to Goa and it seems he is living up to his words. Luizinho getting a Rajya Sabha seat is a clear message to the people of Goa, that the TMC is serious about its entry into the coastal state.

Party insider of TMC said that “from IPAC team to Luizinho in Rajya Sabha – TMC is leaving no stone unturned in the state. It has brought in Leander Paes Mamata Banerjee He himself had gone to Goa.

It is not just a fight for power, TMC wants to establish a strong foothold in Goa, and making Faleiro a Rajya Sabha candidate is the first step in that direction. Faleiro’s nomination has not only given inspiration and encouragement to the TMC team in Goa, but has also proved that Goa will be represented in the party in the true sense.

Luizinho had joined TMC about 2 months ago, and was working hard to build the party in the state. TMC wants Goa to be represented in Parliament. So, Faleiro can be a representative of Goa who will automatically help people to trust TMC. “Election of Luizinho for the MP post means a lot to the people of Goa,” the party insider said.
