Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has received more than 6.3 lakh applications for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test – TNTET 2022. To be eligible to teach in Tamil Nadu based colleges, TN TET is the minimum qualification. Those who qualify TNTET Paper 1 will be eligible to teach classes 1 to 5, while those who qualify Paper 2 will be considered for teaching classes 6 to 8.

Teacher Qualification (TET) 2022 notification was released in March. For this, applications were received from March 14 to April 26. During this more than 6.3 lakh people have applied for this exam. Till date, no official information regarding the selection has been released.

There will be 150 MCQs of one mark each in both the papers. There will be no negative marking for wrong attempts. The qualifying score for TNTET will be valid for lifetime.

Meanwhile, by July, CBSE will also release the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). CTET is conducted twice a year and the notification that will be issued will be for the exam to be held in July this year. The second session will be held in December. In 2021, CBSE conducted online CTET for the first time, however, on the first day of the exam, students faced technical glitches, many could not even complete the exam.

The CTET score is also applicable to KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools run by the Central Government and also schools run by the National Union Territories of Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and National Union Territories.
