Today is the last date to apply for CLAT 2022 Law Entrance, here’s everything you need to know

Application process for Consortium of National Law Universities to be closed Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 today – 9 May. Interested candidates who have not yet applied for law admission can do so at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Candidates who have already submitted their application but have not yet paid the fee are allowed to make the payment and complete the ‘registration’ by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, May 11.

The exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on July 23, which was postponed to be conducted on May 2, which was also deferred and now, the exam will be conducted on June 19 for admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. CLAT-2023 will be conducted on December 18, 2022. Hence, two CLAT exams will be conducted in a year in 2022.

CLAT is conducted for admission to five year integrated LLB programs offered by 22 NLUs across the country.

Step 1. Visit the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2. Click on CLAT 2022 Registration link on the homepage

Step 3. Fill the CLAT 2022 Application Form using the required details

Step 4. Upload the document. Pay the fees. Presented

Step 5. Download and take a print out of the application form for further use

CLAT 2022: Fee

The CLAT registration fee is Rs 4000 for unreserved category candidates and Rs 3500 for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

This year, the consortium has resolved to reduce the counseling fee from Rs 50,000 to Rs 30,000 for general category candidates and Rs 20,000 for ST, SC, OBC, BC, EWS, PWD and other reservation candidates.

Meanwhile, the All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA) claims that it has not been implemented properly. Exposing their problem, the student union has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding Strictly Implementation of OBC Reservation in All India Quota Seats of LLB and LLM National Law Universities Syllabus. The AIOBCSA also requested the government to direct the NLUs to offer seats under All India Quota and strictly implement the reservation.
