BJP MLA from Mudigere MP Kumaraswamy quit the party after being denied ticket for the Karnataka Assembly elections to be held on May 10, 2023. With candidates for only 12 seats yet to be announced, the BJP is countering discontent from disappointed candidates.
1. The Election Commission of India will release the notification for the assembly elections in Karnataka today, formally setting the stage for the election calendar of events. The process of filing nominations will start from today.
