1. The Election Commission of India and the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer are jointly celebrating National Voters’ Day. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Meena and Chief Commissioner BBMP Tushar Girinath will be the chief guests at Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, JC Road at 1 pm. Similar programs are being organized in other districts as well.

2. Ministry of Textiles and Karnataka State-Cooperative Handloom Weavers Federation are organizing a National Handloom Fair today. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the program at HMT Ground, Jalahalli second phase at 10 am.

3. Karnataka Khadi and Village Industries Corporation is organizing Khadi Utsav, a national level Khadi and Village Industries Exhibition and Sale, after a long gap. The corporation is giving information about the proposed festival today.

4. Dayanand Sagar University, Bengaluru is holding its 6th Annual Convocation today. Professor Hrishikesh T. Krishnan, Director and Professor of Strategy, Ram Charan, Chair Professor of Innovation and Leadership, IIMB, will be the Chief Guest at the event to be held at University Campus, Devarakagalhalli, Harahalli, Kanakapura Road from 2 pm onwards.

5. Bangalore University is organizing the inauguration program of Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Study and Research Center today. BU Vice Chancellor Dr. Jayakar SM will inaugurate the program at 11 am in the Gyan Bharati campus.

He will lay the foundation stone for dredging of navigation channel at Malpe Fishing Port at 4.30 pm today.

2. President of Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Parishad MP Srinath will give information about the 25th Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Sammelan to be held in Ujire for three days from 3rd February.

3. Dakshina Kannada District Health and Family Welfare Officer M. Kishore Kumar will give details on Sparsh leprosy awareness campaign.
