1. Opposition parties and the ruling BJP opposed it on the issue Corruption after Lokayukta raid on BJP MLA’s house MLA Madal Virupakshappa and his son have approached the court seeking anticipatory bail and a stay on the investigation. His son Prashant Madal was caught red-handed on March 2 while accepting a bribe of ₹40 lakh in the MLA’s office. The raids that followed led to the unaccounted cash of over ₹8 crore, apart from jewelery and other assets. The matter was heard today in the Karnataka High Court.

2. As the elections approach, the inauguration of various facilities is on in Bengaluru and elsewhere. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai inaugurated the 100th Jan Aushadhi Kendra in Bengaluru. State level awards will also be distributed in the program organized by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. 4. Social-oriented Rangbalga is presented by Jairam Raipura Drama Festival. Jandani will present ‘Sirige Sere’ based on the life story of Mandya Nadaprabhu Kempegowda at ADA Rangamandira, JC Road from 7 pm today.

5. Lecture on ‘Lalitatrishti’ by Ganesh Bhatt Hobley, Gokhale Institute of Public Affairs, Basavanagudi Road, Narasimharaja Colony from 6.30 pm to 7.15 pm
