• The state government has invoked the provisions of the Dam Safety Act against the Kadam project in Adilabad, whose structure had become brittle in the recent Godavari floods. This means that the Dam Safety Review Panel will have to inspect the dam and make a recommendation to the government.

• Telangana Congress Committee A Revanth Reddy will undertake a padyatra in Munugode assembly constituency, where the by-election will be held. The yatra has been planned under the Azadi Gaurav Yatra program of the Congress.

• As the party’s candidate for the Munugode by-election, a former MLA K. Follow-up on dissatisfaction within TRS over nomination of Prabhakar Reddy. Around 300 grassroots elected representatives of the party yesterday passed a resolution that Prabhakar Reddy would not work for the party if he is given the ticket.
