Here are the important news developments from Telangana To watch out for today:
1. Nearly one hundred engineering colleges have applied to universities that give affiliation this year to reduce seats in civil, mechanical and electrical courses as only a few were about to take. On the contrary, the demand for computer science courses has increased manifold.
2. Irrigation engineers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will conduct a joint survey of villages that were facing the danger of being submerged due to the backwaters of the Polavaram project from November 8. The Polavaram Project Authority has accepted the survey following a complaint from Telangana that 203 villages have faced submergence at the project’s full reservoir level.
3. The central government has stopped releasing its share of post-matric scholarship and tuition fee reimbursement in Telangana for 2021-22 and 2022-23 as the state government failed to fulfill the conditions of the combined scheme.
