1. The academic year for MBBS 1st year courses is starting from tomorrow across the state. Eight new government medical colleges with 1,150 seats will also start functioning from tomorrow at various centres.

3. Cotton prices are rising in the market across the state as farmers are getting up to Rs 9,000 per quintal against the MSP of Rs 6,080 per quintal. Last year the MSP was only ₹5,726 last year.

4. The upcoming election to the Legislative Council from Teachers’ Constituency has become a rallying point for teachers in the state to pressurize the government to seek promotions. The government has not promoted teachers for the last seven years and transferred them for four years.
