Pune based EV brand Tork Motors recently launched its electric motorcycle called Tork Kratos R. The bike was launched earlier this year and the EV brand has now started the deliveries of its new motorcycle. Currently, the brand’s motorcycle sales are concentrated in Pune and deliveries are being done in the city. When it comes to vehicle delivery, the EV brand has moved away from the traditional vehicle delivery system. Tork is delivering its motorcycles in a box designed like a covered scale model. The specifications of the bike have been printed in the box.
On the box, the Torque Motors branding and other information about the electric motorcycle is mentioned. Both the motorcycle and the crate are carried in the back of a trailer. The innovative method of motorcycle delivery has caught the attention of passersby. He can be seen checking the new bike and its packaging.
For a very long time, Torque Motors has been developing electric motorcycles. In the video, a motorcycle is being delivered to a customer by Kapil Shelke, Founder and CEO, Tork Motors. The video shows the man’s delight on seeing a motorcycle presented like a scale model.
The Tork Kratos R has got the title of being India’s first locally designed and manufactured electric motorcycle in India. It gets a modern, athletic design. The bike gets a new trellis frame, telescoping front forks, mono-shock and disc brakes at both the ends. Others include linked functions and a 4.3-inch TFT screen. The electric motorcycle from Torque is available in two variants. Kratos and Kratos R variations are available.
Powering it is a 4 kWh Li-Ion battery pack. The axial flux motor produces 38 Nm and 9 kW of peak torque. Kratos has three riding modes: Eco, City and Sports. Like many other electric scooters, it also gets a reverse gear. The motorcycle has a top speed of 105 kmph and an allowed riding range of 180 km. Fast charging has also been supported for the motorcycle. The Kratos is available at Rs 1.92 Lakh (ex-showroom) while the Kratos R is priced at Rs 2.07 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
