Shiv Sena Bow and Arrow Symbol Line: The Shiv Sena faction led by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has started exploring new symbol options after the Election Commission banned both Thackeray and CM Eknath Shinde from using the party’s name and its symbol (bow and arrow). Done.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday passed an interim order barring both the Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde factions from using the party’s name Shiv Sena and its ‘bow and arrow’ symbol.

In its interim order, the Election Commission said in the Andheri East bypoll, neither of the two factions – Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde – would be allowed to use the “bow and arrow” symbol reserved for the “Shiv Sena”.

The Election Commission said that both the groups will also be allotted such different symbols as they can choose from from the list of free symbols notified by the Election Commission for the ongoing by-elections. Accordingly, both the groups are hereby directed to submit the same by 1 PM on 10th October.

The Commission may allot names and symbols to both the groups from the options presented. This interim order came on Saturday on the request of Shinde faction, which had demanded allotment of symbol near the Andheri East assembly by-poll.

Speaking on the matter, Ambadas Danve of Uddhav Thackeray faction said that the interim order of the Election Commission to freeze the symbol of Shiv Sena for the upcoming Andheri by-election is injustice.

The interim order said, “The Commission is bound to ensure that all the electoral phases of the bye-election are free from any confusion and contradiction and thus its next step is to prevent the possibility of any faction participating in the election.” necessarily agnostic.” ,

After the split in the Shiv Sena ranks in June, rival factions had approached the commission claiming to be the “real Shiv Sena”.

The commission had earlier asked rival groups to submit documentary evidence on legislative and organizational support by August 8 to support their claims. The deadline was extended to October 7 following a request from the Thackeray faction.
