MLC Kavita Kalvakuntala and MPs inspected the arrangements for tomorrow’s dharna

MLC Kavita Kalvakuntala along with MPs Suresh Reddy and BB Patil and Deputy Chairman of Planning Board Vinod Kumar inspected the arrangements for yesterday’s dharna at Telangana Bhavan demanding better program for farmers.
Ms. Kalvakuntla said that TRS is fully prepared to protect the interests of farmers of Telangana in light of the apathetic behavior of the Center for procurement of paddy.
Ahead of the protests in Delhi on Monday, Ms Kalvakuntla inspected the protest site and spoke to reporters after she confirmed that the Centre’s plans and policies are a threat to national food security. “TRS party will fight for the interest of farmers,” he said.
He praised the efforts and vision of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and said that it was the strong will of the Chief Minister that made “barren Telangana a prosperous and productive land” which is ready to serve the rest of the country.
Ms. Kalvakuntla said that no government in India ever prospered at the cost of farmers and reminded the BJP government of the consequences of ignoring farmers.
The party tweeted that state ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other public representatives will participate in the TRS-led protest in Delhi.
The party has demanded a paddy procurement policy in the country by putting up hoardings in the national capital.
