TSBIE 2021: Inter 1st year results declared, 49% pass out of 4.5 lakh students

Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Thursday announced the result of intermediate first year or class 11 final examination. Out of 4,59,242 students, 49% have cleared the Telangana Inter 1st year examination and the results can be downloaded from results.cgg.gov.in.

Students can check their result using roll number and date of birth on login window. A total of 4,09,911 candidates appeared in the general category out of which 1,99,786 have passed.

49,331 candidates appeared in the vocational stream, out of which 24,226 have qualified. Girls have performed better than boys. The overall pass percentage of girls is 56% while it is 42% for boys. The maximum number of 1,15,538 students have secured an A grade which is greater than or equal to 75%.

The first year inter exam was conducted from October 25 to November 3 at 1,768 centers across the state. “Despite the fact that regular physical classes could not be conducted during the academic year 2020-21 due to the COVID pandemic except for about forty (40) days. Only online classes were arranged by TSBIE through Doordarshan, T-Sat; And college lecturers also arranged to explain the lessons to the students through daily Zoom classes. Despite all the difficulties, the students have performed well.

Meanwhile, the Telangana state health department said the results of six samples for their omicron type status are awaited. Two foreign nationals who arrived here from abroad and a third person, who had briefly stayed at the city’s international airport before flying to Kolkata, were found positive for the new coronavirus variant Omicron on Tuesday night.

The state reported 186 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the tally to 6,78,874, while the death toll rose to 4,010 with one more fatality. Providing details till 5.30 pm on Wednesday, a bulletin said Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has the highest number of cases followed by Ranga Reddy (15) and Medchal Malkajgiri (11) with 63.
