TV channel broadcast porn clip during weather report

A news channel accidentally broadcast porn during the weather report.

Viewers watching the weather forecast in Washington, US, were in for a bit of a shock on Sunday evening when a local news channel mistakenly aired an obscene clip. KREM, a local CBS-affiliated news outlet based in Spokane, Washington, broadcast its 13-second candid video during 6 p.m.

Meteorologist Michelle Boss was giving a weather update when an obscene clip started playing on her shoulder. Neither he nor his co-anchor, Cody Proctor, knew about the clip. They both continued with their reports as more weather footage was eventually cut before the graphic video was played in the background.

KREM apologizes for “inappropriate” video during its 11pm broadcast, reports adweek. “Those of us at KREM 2 would like to apologize for something that happened on our newscast tonight at 6 p.m.,” the station said. “An inappropriate video aired in the first half of the show. We are working diligently to ensure this doesn’t happen again.”

An executive from KREM’s parent company confirmed that the channel had apologized for accidentally broadcasting X-rated footage. TEGNA’s Chief Communications Officer Anne Bentley said, “We apologized to our viewers during our 11 p.m. newscast last night – those of us at KREM 2 want to apologize for what happened in our newscast at 6 p.m. tonight. Huh.”

The Spokane Police Department is now investigating the incident after receiving several concerning calls from onlookers.

“The Spokane Police Department’s Special Victims Unit responded to a local news outlet Sunday evening after a disturbing image/video appeared on viewers’ screens during the station’s weather report,” the department said in a statement. Statement Released on Monday.

“The incident led to several calls from concerned citizens of the city and county,” the department said.

In a similar incident in 2017, a watchful BBC watcher noticed Employee watching an X-rated clip at work. A BBC employee’s screen was visible behind an anchor delivering the news during a live broadcast.
