TVS Motor Company wants to make a big splash in the 125 cc segment and the company is preparing to introduce a scooter and a motorcycle in this segment. In fact, the Hosur-based producer has now confirmed that TVS We will be introducing a 125cc motorcycle by the end of September 2021, and we are all excited. The company is keeping quiet about the upcoming offering and speculations are rife that it could be called TVS Fiero 125. For those interested, the two-wheeler maker sold the Fiero 150 almost two decades back under the TVS-Suzuki partnership. Later it was replaced by TVS Apache 150. In short, the company will revive the moniker.

TVS had last year trademarked the name Fiero 125, which further raised the prospect of a new motorcycle. While details are scarce at the moment, the upcoming 125cc offering is expected to be a sporty model. This will be the company’s first 125cc motorcycle in recent years and will help bridge the gap between the Star City+ and Apache RTR 180 in TVS’s portfolio. Apart from this, the new model will help take on a host of bikes including Bajaj Pulsar 125, Honda CB Shine, Hero Glamor, and the likes.
Expect to see a sporty yet commuter-friendly design language, a feature-packed console and a powerful engine. Of course, we are yet to see the model, but we expect to know more about it in the coming days. TVS can pair the engine with a 5-speed gearbox to make it more efficient.

Currently, TVS sells the highly successful NTorq in this segment and has managed to garner a strong following among model enthusiasts. Speculations suggest that the 125cc scooter will be a family-oriented offering that takes on Suzuki Access and Honda Activa. Based on the success of the nameplate, it may also be called the TVS Jupiter 125 when launched. Nothing has been said on when the 125cc scooter will arrive, but we may see the model launch around the festive season.
