TVS Ronin Launch Tomorrow: What We Know So Far

    The TVS Ronin is based on an all-new platform from the Indian motorcycle maker, and will be unlike anything else on sale on TVS right now. As for the format, the bike is somewhat a mix of a roadster and a scrambler motorcycle, offering a cruiser-like stance with go-anywhere capabilities. It also sits on a pair of on- and off-road tires, which enhances its scrambler characteristic.

    Leaked images of TVS Ronin reveal a neo-retro design language. The bike gets a round headlamp which will likely be LED, round rear view mirrors and a tear drop shaped fuel tank. It also gets golden USD forks up front, and a blacked out engine and exhaust. The tan colored flat seat and dual tone paint finish complete the neo-retro look of the bike.

    The bike sports a circular instrument cluster, and it is rumored that there will be a fully digital unit. Most likely, the Ronin TVS SmartXonect will also come with Bluetooth connectivity features. Using this you can connect your smartphone to your motorcycle and get features like turn-by-turn navigation and caller ID on the instrument cluster of the motorcycle. Additionally, the mobile app will also allow you to access your bike’s last parked location, and allow you to access and share your ride statistics on social media platforms.

    While we will definitely have to wait to know the exact technical specs of the Ronin, it is expected to come with an engine between 200-250 cc, and is rumored to be launched with a 225 cc single-cylinder engine, which It will put out around 20 bhp and 18 Nm of torque. It is likely that it will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

    The TVS Ronin will be replaced by the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Apache RR 310, and in fact, offers an entirely new flavor to the brand’s product line-up, which has so far included street bikes and sporty roadsters. We expect the TVS Ronin to be priced between Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
