Twitter Blue for Android costs $11 per month, annual plan revealed

Elon Musk-owned Twitter has announced the price of Twitter Blue subscription for Android. Subscription will cost $11 per month for Android users. The price is the same for iOS customers. The company offers an affordable annual plan for web users as compared to the monthly fee.

Twitter said on its website that Google’s Android users will be able to buy a monthly subscription to Twitter Blue for $11, the same price as Apple’s iOS users.

The blue check mark was previously free for verified accounts of politicians, celebrities, journalists and other public figures. After Elon Musk took over the microblogging platform, Blueprint is now open to all who are willing to pay.

It was launched in 2022 to help Twitter grow revenue as it battles to retain advertisers.

The higher pricing for Android users, according to reports, is likely to offset the fee charged by Android’s Google Play Store, like Apple’s App Store.

Elon Musk took over Twitter last year for $44 billion. Since the acquisition, Elon Musk has brought changes to the social media company including a subscription plan for Verified Blue Badges.
