Twitter may soon allow users to write article-style posts – Times of India

Twitter is reportedly working on a new feature for its users called twitter article, This feature will allow users to create a long-form post within Twitter. The feature is currently in the works and was revealed by tipster Jane Manchun Wong in a Twitter post.
At the moment, not much is known about the upcoming feature. But it is likely that it will allow Twitter users to write article-style posts over the current 280 character limit on Twitter. In case you are unaware, Twitter Blue is a subscription-based service. It is not currently available globally and is limited to countries that include the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The subscription costs $2.99, which roughly translates to Rs 223.
With the new articles feature, Twitter can monetize the service by offering it to select users. A Twitter spokesperson said in a CNET report that it would reveal more details about the new feature soon.
Twitter introduced a continuous thread feature in 2020 that allows users to attach more than one tweet to a primary tweet. However, a limit of 280 characters does apply. Twitter thread as well.
Meanwhile, Twitter is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to create a list of select people who can see some of their posts. This will allow users to control who can and cannot see their tweets. Plus, they’ll be able to manage which Tweets are visible and which are not. The feature will reportedly be called Flock and is very similar to the Close Friends feature on Instagram.
