Twitter is suing Elon Musk over the completion of the deal, and a trial is scheduled for October

Twitter said Tuesday that preliminary calculations showed shareholders supported Elon Musk’s bid to buy the social media platform for $44 billion, even as it seeks to breach the contract.

The tally came during a shareholder meeting that lasted just a few minutes, with most votes being cast online.

Twitter has sued Musk over the completion of the deal, and a trial is scheduled for October.
