Kanpur: Two people have been arrested on Tuesday in connection with the recovery of meat from the roadside four days ago in Gambhirpur village of Sadh police station area of the district. On receiving information, the police sent the meat for laboratory testing. The villagers had alleged that the meat was of a cow, which was thrown by the occupants of the car.
After the incident, the police started investigation and started searching for the accused. The police on Tuesday arrested two people accused of cow slaughter and recovered a car and tools used in cow slaughter from their possession. Station Incharge Mansoor Ahmed Said that after the meat was found, a case has been registered and search has been started for the accused.
“During investigation, the police noticed two accused and were arrested. The arrested youths have been identified as Arshad, a resident of Civil Lines. fish fillet Gwaltoli police station area Saif Khanresident of Dalel Purva Under Anwarganj police station, the accused had thrown meat from their car itself. The police have also recovered the car. After questioning the accused they were sent to jail,” the SHO further said.
