Bajaj Auto Total two-wheeler sales stood at 3,18,769 units in December 2021, a decline of 6 per cent as compared to 3,38,584 units in the same month a year ago. In the domestic market, Bajaj Auto’s two-wheeler sales stood at 1,27,593 units, registering a decline of 1 per cent from the 1,28,642 units the company sold in December 2020. In overseas markets, two-wheeler sales declined by 9 per cent in December 2021. , 1,91,176 units from 2,09,942 units in the same month a year ago. Bajaj Auto’s commercial vehicle sales, however, registered a strong growth of 29 per cent, with domestic CV sales growing 68 per cent in December 2021.

Bajaj Auto’s domestic market sales stood at 1.28 lakh units in December 2021, while the overseas market sales stood at over 1.91 lakh units.

Bajaj Auto’s total sales, including two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, stood at 3,62,470 units in December 2021, a decline of 3 per cent as compared to December 2020, when the company registered sales of 3,72,532 units. Overall domestic market sales (two-wheelers and CVs) stood at 1,45,979 units in December 2021, up from 1,39,606 units sold in the same month a year ago.

During the period April to December 2021, Bajaj Auto sold over 13 lakh units in the domestic market, while exports grew by 36 per cent in the same period to over 16.76 lakh units.

During the period April to December 2021, domestic two-wheeler sales remained flat at 13,01,984 units as against 13,21,644 units sold in the same period a year ago. Though exports continue to grow, registering a growth of 36 per cent in the April to December 2021 period, when Bajaj exported 16,75,781 units as compared to 12,36,617 units in the same period a year ago. Overall, Bajaj Auto sales stood at 29,77,765 units during April to December 2021, registering a growth of 16 per cent over the same period a year ago, when Bajaj Auto shipped 25,58,261 units.

In calendar year 2021, Bajaj Auto reported the highest ever sales for exports in any calendar year with over 2.5 million (25 lakh) unit sales. This is 30 percent more than last year’s exports. Two-wheeler exports alone stood at over 2.2 million (2.2 million) units in calendar year 2021, while sales of three-wheelers and quadricycles grew by over 0.3 million (3 lakh) units.

The 125 cc+ segment of motorcycles contributed to 41 per cent of two-wheeler sales in calendar year 2021 led by the Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles, which achieved its highest ever export sales.
