Hero Motocorp has announced that the company has sold 5,47,970 units of two-wheelers in October 2021. While the sales volume shows a sequential growth on sales in September 2021, when Hero MotoCorp shipped 530,346 units of motorcycles and scooters, the year-on-year sales volume declined by 32 per cent. In October 2020, Hero MotoCorp shipped 8,06,848 units of two-wheelers. In October 2021, sales in the domestic market stood at 5,27,779 units, a decline of 33 per cent.

Hero Glamor Xtec is a popular 125 cc commuter motorcycle from the brand.
However, despite a modest 28 per cent growth in exports, there was some enthusiasm. However, Hero’s export volume is small as compared to domestic sales. Hero exported a total of 20,191 units in October 2021, while 15,711 units were exported in October 2020.

According to the company, the demand is picking up in the festive season, and the company expects good retail sales in the coming weeks, with Dhanteras and Diwali approaching. With a gradual opening up of the economy, an encouraging agricultural activity and an increase in preference for personal mobility, Hero expects a rapid revival in sales in the coming months. In October 2021, Hero MotoCorp introduced the XPulse 200 4 Valve, as well as the Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition. In the scooter portfolio, Hero introduced the new Pleasure+ Xtec.
