With this win, India will now take on Australia in the Super League semi-final on Wednesday, February 2. Chasing 112, India had a poor start as the Yash Dhull-led side lost opener Harnoor Singh (0) in the second over. From an innings bowled by Tanzim Hasan Saqib. Angkrish Raghuvanshi and vice-captain Sheikh Rashid came to the crease to witness the opening spell of the new Bangladesh bowlers.

Raghuvanshi and Rashid put on 70 runs for the second wicket and the partnership was broken in the 21st over as Ripon Mandal dismissed Raghuvanshi (44) and it took skipper Yash Dhull in the middle. Soon after, Rashid (26) and Siddharth Yadav (6) were also killed and India were reduced to 82/4 in the 24th over.

In the end, skipper Dhul (20*) and Kaushal Tambe (11*) took India to a five-wicket win with 19.1 overs to spare.

Earlier, a spirited bowling performance helped India bundle out Bangladesh for just 111 runs in 38 overs. Sent in to bat first, Bangladesh’s Colts had the worst start as India pacer Ravi Kumar picked up three wickets in no time as Bangladesh were reduced to 14/3 in the eighth over.

Mahfizul Islam (2), Iftakher Hossain Ifti (1) and Prantik Navroz Nabil (7) all failed to make a mark with the bat. None of the Bangladesh batsmen could stay at the crease for long and it was only SM Mahrob (30) and Ashiqur Zaman (16) who showed some resistance with the bat. In the end Bangladesh were reduced to 111 runs.
