UAE allows full immunization with WHO-approved COVID-19 jabs from 15 countries, including India – Times of India

DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates on Friday said it will allow the return of those fully vaccinated with WHO-approved COVID-19 jabs with valid residence visas from 15 countries already on the suspended list, including India, from September 12.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) shared an official statement in a tweet saying that those who can return include those who have been abroad for more than six months.
“The UAE allows the return of full immunization (WHO-approved vaccines) holders of valid residence visas starting from September 12, 2021, including those who have been abroad for more than six months,” the statement said. Huh.”
The decision covers travelers arriving from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Namibia, Zambia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa, Nigeria and Afghanistan.
Giving details about the arrival requirements, it said that travelers can apply for identity and citizenship through the website of the Federal Authority (ICA) and be required to complete the vaccination application in addition to presenting approved vaccination certification upon departure. It added that passengers must submit a negative PCR test result within 48 hours of departure at an approved laboratory with a QR code.
The returnees are required to undergo a PCR test before boarding and another PCR test on the fourth and eighth days of arrival, following all precautionary measures.
Children under the age of 16 are exempted from these procedures.
It added that all other precautionary measures announced earlier for non-vaccinated people coming from those countries remain in place.
