All 47 public toilets in Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni assembly constituency will be rebuilt, proposed modern fish market in Chintadripet

Chepauk-Tiruvallikeni MLA and DMK youth wing leader Udayanidhi Stalin on Thursday visited Ripon Building to discuss civic infrastructure demands with residents of his constituency.

Most residents of the constituency had demanded better public toilets, improved footpaths, street lights, siltation of canals and surveillance cameras on the streets to check crime.

Shri Udayanidhi Stalin handed over a list of proposals to Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi.

The corporation is planning to develop a modern fish market at Chintadripet, roadside park along the Koom and community hall for the residents.

The civic body will facilitate the improvement of facilities in the slums opposite Chintadripet police station, construction of anganwadis for the children of poor people and reconstruction of 47 toilets in the constituency.

The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board will build additional pumping stations in the constituency.

Mr. Bedi discussed the proposals with Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin and assured him of follow-up action.

Mayor Priya Rajan and Deputy Mayor Magesh Kumar were present.
