UGC NET Hindi exam leak, AISA alleges, demands probe into ‘paper leak trends’

The Left All India Students Association (AISA) alleged that the Hindi paper of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) was leaked. AISA members and students demanded immediate cancellation of the National Testing Agency (NTA) tender on the examinations. The delegation of students also met the Additional Secretary, UGC and submitted a memorandum.

According to the memorandum, AISA said that it wants to emphasize the demand for an independent inquiry into the paper leaks in general, which they said have become “a common practice in the BJP regime” and the leaked Hindi UGC NET paper which was held on 26 December. The association said that Jind Police has also arrested some people on whose phone the question paper was found.

AISA, along with the SFI, not only demanded a probe into the “recent trend” of paper leaks, but also said that the NTA should conduct the exam once again. “The UGC NET exam being conducted by private and autonomous NTAs should be conducted by whom? UGC is once again under full accountability to the public. NET exam for Hindi should be conducted once again at the earliest,” stated in the memorandum.
