Clarivate, a UK-based firm providing information and insights to accelerate innovation, recently announced the winners of the annual South and Southeast Asia Innovation Awards at its Innovation Forum for the region, held on September 21, 2021. While a group of Indian corporations was a part of the list of award recipients, the company chose Mahindra & Mahindra As a top innovator in the Indian automotive space and electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ather Energy As one of the emerging company in South-East Asia.

This year, 276 organizations from the academia, government and corporate sectors were recognized. Of these, 27 organizations received the Innovation Award. The awards are based on an analysis of patent volume, citation volume, patent success and level of globalization, using patent data from the Derwent World Patent Index (DWPI) and the Derwent Patent Citation Index (DPCI).
