UK man eats 9,600-calorie McDonald’s Christmas meal on his own

For some people, food may simply be a means to sustain themselves, but for others, food means serious business. There are plenty of competitive eaters around the world who aim to finish huge amounts of food in record time. Food contests are very often held in the US and UK where contestants are judged on the basis of how quickly they can finish and how much they are able to eat. Recently, a man won the record for eating a record-high number of Big Macs in his lifetime—no fewer than 32,340. And now, another UK man has tried to eliminate a 9,600-calorie Christmas meal from McDonald’s. Have a look:

The video was posted by UK-based competitive eater Kyle Gibson on his YouTube channel. It has been viewed over 17k times and has also garnered coverage from various media and websites.

In the eight-minute-long clip, Gibson explains that he will try to destroy the entire McDonald’s. Christmas Food all by itself. He estimated that the food had a total of about 10,000 calories. The meal included eight festive pies, six festive burgers, two cheese share boxes and two Celebration McFlurries desserts. It took the UK person a total of 24 minutes to finish the entire meal, and at the end of it, he exclaimed, “That was an easy one!”
