It is often seen that when a place is abandoned, nature takes care of it. From closed factories to homes, the absence of human activities allows flora to flourish even in man-made environments. One such act of nature was witnessed by a British man whose car was covered with ivy after being parked in one place for 15 years. Tim Ward is now planning to move the car out of its place. However, there is more to the story.

According to a report in The Sun, Tim had parked his red Ford Escort outside his former family home in Willesden, England. The car stood in the same spot from 2005 or 2006 until recently, until Tim decided to move it. For the period for which it was parked, Tim claimed that he had not even touched the car. He said that in the last three years, the vehicle has been almost completely covered with ivy.

For those wondering if Tim was too lazy to move the car, he shared that it was his mom who told him to leave it there. Tim’s mother lived in the house opposite the spot and asked to park the car there for emotional and security reasons.

Tim’s mother died in 2016 but he still did not move the car. “It’s not laziness why we didn’t overcome it, it was the emotional side,” Tim was quoted as saying. He said that his mother used to clean the vehicle and after her death she did not have the heart to move it.

Tim claimed that initially the car was not covered with ivy and that only the vegetation had taken over over the years. Now, the car has become a landmark in the field and is “no more”. Tim shared that he had once considered converting the car into a coffee shop, sparking public interest. But now six years after his mother’s death, Tim is going to move the car by the end of April. He said, ‘It has been a long time now.
