The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has helped the people of the country amid the war in Ukraine.
The situation in Ukraine continues to worsen as it marks the fifth day of Russia’s invasion of the country. While the citizens of Ukraine are looking for help in times of despair, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has extended help to the people of the country amid the war. ISKCON is sheltering people inside the temple doors. In addition, at the request of the Indian Embassy, ISKCON members have launched a major food aid initiative in Hungary to provide fresh food and drinks to the returning students. ISKCON Vice President Radharaman Das said on Saturday that there are 54 ISKCON temples in Ukraine which are ready to help the needy.
Videos and images uploaded on social media showed ISKCON members providing fresh food and water to stranded Indians crossing the Ukraine to Hungary border. ISKCON is also planning to expand it to incoming Ukrainian refugees.
