Union Budget: Highest GST collection in January 2022 at Rs 1,38,394 crore, says FM business – Times of India Videos

During her budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman informed the Lok Sabha that the GST collection for January 2022 stood at Rs 1,38,394 crore, the highest since inception. The Minister said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a jump in revenue and this has been possible due to better facilitation and enforcement. Presenting the Union Budget for 2022-23, the Finance Minister said that remarkable progress has been made in the GST regime, though some challenges still remain.
