UP Board Exams 2023: Class 10 board exams 2023 will start from February 16 and will continue till March 3 while class 12 board exams will be conducted from February 16 to March 4.

The exam will be conducted in two shifts – morning shift from 8:00 am to 11:15 am and second shift from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. UP board exams will be completed before Holi. UPMSP has allotted a total of 8752 exam centers for the board exams while last year 8373 exam centers were allotted.

This year, more than 58 lakh students have registered for the UP Board’s 10th and 12th exams, which is the highest number ever. This session, the maximum number of girls have registered for class 10th board exams as compared to the previous five years. The intermediate practical exam will be held from January 16 to January 20 while the pre board exam will start from January 21.

This year the exam pattern may be different. The question paper will be divided into two parts – multiple choice questions and subjective questions. About 30 per cent of the question paper, or the first section of 20 marks, will consist of multiple choice questions, which candidates will have to answer on the OMR sheet. The second part will carry 70 per cent or 50 marks consisting of descriptive questions to be answered on conventional paper.
