What is the value of Muslim vote in UP? Owaisi targets BJP, SP, BSP in handling
AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday targeted the Yogi Adityanath-led government at a public rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal and said 37 per cent of BJP MLAs have criminal cases and no one is raising their voice against it.
The Hyderabad MP said, “37 per cent of BJP MLAs have criminal cases, why no one raises their voice… Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself withdrew the criminal case against him and no one said anything.”
The AIMIM chief further said that assembly elections are near in the state, and efforts should be made to prevent the BJP from winning again.
“I promise that if we (AIMIM) win, the poor man will be taken care of as I am standing there,” Owaisi said.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Owaisi said that 50 thousand Muslims and other brothers were rendered homeless in the Muzaffarnagar riots. Where the Yogi government is withdrawing 70 cases, no one raised their voice on it.
The AIMIM supremo further said, “If anyone speaks against BJP, Modi, Yogi and RSS, then we are its AIMIM. On the implementation of CAA, we said in front of 300 BJP MPs in Parliament that this law is against the Constitution. India.”
Attacking Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati, Owaisi said, “BJP is winning not because of Muslim voters but because of Samajwadi Party voters, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress voters are drinking tea sitting on Modi’s lap.

Meanwhile, tensions flared up in Sirsi after posters of AIMIM appeared in which Sambhal was referred to as the “land of the Ghazis”, an apparent reference to Islamic warriors. The posters were seen ahead of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s meeting in Sirsi, where he took on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his “Abba Jaan” remark.
However, BJP strongly opposed the posters, following which the activists of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) removed them.
Adityanath made this remark in an apparent reference to the Muslim community and the Samajwadi Party that those who call “Abba Jaan” used to digest ration earlier.
The AIMIM had recently announced that it would contest 100 seats in the state assembly elections next year in alliance with the Om Prakash Rajbhar-led Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha.
