UP Board English paper leaked: Exam rescheduled on April 13, District Inspector suspended – Times of India

Lucknow: The UP Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday canceled the Class 12 English paper in 24 districts after the paper was allegedly leaked from Ballia district. The English paper was scheduled for the second shift today from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. STF has been engaged for further investigation.

Ballia District School Inspector Brijesh Mishra has been suspended. The exam has now been rescheduled to April 13, 2022 and will be conducted from 8 AM to 11.15 AM. Around 5 lakh students are affected by the cancellation of UP Board Class 12 English paper.

Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Aradhana Shukla said that before the examination, the paper of 316 ED and 316 EI of English was leaked from Ballia district. “The English test has been canceled in all the 24 districts where the question papers of these two series were sent. The matter is being investigated,” Shukla said.

The 24 districts where the English paper was canceled are Ballia, Etah, Baghpat, Budaun, Sitapur, Kanpur Dehat, Lalitpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Azamgarh, Agra, Varanasi, Mainpuri, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Shahjahanpur, Unnao, Jalaun, Mahoba, Ambedkar Nagar and Gorakhpur.

Except these 24 districts, there will be an English test in other districts. UPSEB Chairman VK Pandey said that the new date for the English exam in these 24 districts will be announced later.

UP’s Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar told TOI that an FIR is being registered in Ballia district regarding the UP Board paper leak, while the STF will investigate the larger conspiracy that led to the leak.
