UP Election 2022: Firing on AIMIM chief Owaisi’s car near Ghaziabad

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi On Thursday, Kithor in Uttar Pradesh was on his way to Delhi after an election-related program in Meerut, when 3-4 rounds of bullets were fired at his vehicle.

Speaking to news agency ANI, the Hyderabad MP said that two men fired three or four rounds of bullets at his vehicle near Chhajarsi toll plaza, puncturing the tyres.

According to ADG Prashant Kumar, Hapur Police is investigating the matter and is scanning the CCTVs of the surrounding areas. Police is also recording the statements of eyewitnesses. The investigation continues.

Owaisi said in a tweet in Hindi that 3-4 people were present on the spot when the bullet was fired. He said, they all ran away, and left their weapons there.
