UP plans to provide government job, employment to at least one person from every family

In the fifth phase of the ongoing assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, polling was held in Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Barabaki, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Amethi and Rae Bareli.

In the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, more than 57 percent voting was recorded on Sunday. According to the Election Commission of India’s polling application, the polling percentage was 57.32. Voting ended at 6 pm.

An official said the final polling figures would be available on Monday.

With the completion of the fifth phase of polling, voting has now been held in 292 out of the total 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The last two phases will be held on March 3 and 7. The results will be declared on March 10.

Among the prominent candidates in this phase, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya was contesting from Sirathu in Kaushambi district. He is pitted against Apna Dal (Kamerawadi) candidate Pallavi Patel.

Some other ministers are Siddharth Nath Singh from Allahabad West, Rajendra Singh from Patti (Pratapgarh), Nand Gopal Gupta Nadi from Allahabad South and Ramapati Shastri from Mankapur (Gonda).
