UP School News: Schools closed in UP and other states due to heavy rains. – times of India

New Delhi: All schools in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, Agra, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Kanpur, Etah, Mainpuri and Firozabad will remain closed today i.e. Monday, 10 October 2022.
In view of heavy rains in UP, many districts have announced closure of schools.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in many states. As per the official announcements, heavy rainfall is likely to continue over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
So far only the Uttar Pradesh government has announced closure of schools on Monday due to bad weather. However, Aligarh district will keep its schools closed till 12 October 2022.
According to an official order, Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddh Nagar will remain closed on Monday due to excessive rains. The order states that the bandh will be applicable for all classes up to class 12 and all schools of the board.
“Due to the excessive rainfall in the district and keeping in view the possibility of excessive rain, the District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar has declared a holiday on 10th October (Monday) in Government, Semi-Government Aided and Unaided Schools of all Boards. Classes 1 to 12 of the district operated,” said district school inspector Dharamveer Singh.
Singh said in the order issued late on Sunday night, therefore all headmasters and headmasters should ensure compliance of the order.
All classes in schools of educational boards of these districts have been ordered to be closed.
