As per the latest announcement, all schools in the state will remain closed for physical classes till February 15. Meanwhile, online classes will continue as usual in view of the upcoming secondary board exams announced by Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Avnish Kumar Awasthi.

The Additional Chief Secretary in his statement said that online classes will continue due to the upcoming UP Board exams. Moreover, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is expected to conduct the UP Class 10, 12 Board Exam 2022 after March 10 as the state will go to polls in seven phases from February 10 to March 7, 2022.

The state government had earlier ordered the closure of all schools and colleges from January 16 to January 23, which was later extended till January 30. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said in the statement that in view of the changing circumstances and rising COVID-19 cases, the statement said that all schools and colleges have been ordered to remain closed till January 23. Adityanath had also said that the night curfew should be strictly enforced from 10 pm to 6 pm. Now the extension has been extended further.
